In the vast countryside of Zambia, farmers are always looking for innovative ways to improve agricultural production efficiency. Malamb is one of these actively exploring farmers. Once, he raised 3,000 chickens on the spacious flat land, but his ambition was far more than that. He is eager to further expand the poultry farming project and increase the number and production of chickens, but he is facing a severe real challenge: limited land resources. However, just when he was stuck, a breakthrough poultry farm equipment solution became the focus of his exploration – the battery layer cage system.
Project background introduction
Malamb realized that with limited land resources, to increase the scale of farming, simply expanding the area of the chicken house is not only laborious, but also difficult to achieve. However, he learned about the battery layer cage system through information channels, and this innovative concept opened up new possibilities for him. The essence of this system is that it makes full use of the space of the chicken farm through vertical stacking, so that more chickens can be raised without expanding the occupied area. For farmers like Malamb aspiring to increase the size of their farms, this solution is undoubtedly a huge breakthrough.
Project details
Malamb’s poultry farm equipment solution uses 4-tier 4-door layer chicken cages, the size of each cage is 1950*350*380mm, and each group of cages can accommodate 120 laying hens. Through this compact layout, he fully exploited the value of every inch of land in the limited farm space. In the entire chicken house, 42 sets of cages are set up in each row, a total of 2 rows of cages, a total of 84 sets of cages, which can breed 9,840 laying hens. The size of the chicken farm is 88*7*3 meters. This well-designed layout not only maximizes the utilization of space, but also creates a suitable ecological environment, which is conducive to the healthy growth of laying hens.
Device Details
This poultry farm equipment solution integrates a series of key components to ensure that the breeding environment for layer hens is optimally optimized and managed, resulting in more efficient and controlled production.
Cage Basic Setup: This includes chicken cage nets, layer cage doors and cage frames. These parts work closely together to form a safe and comfortable living space, providing a warm habitat for laying hens.
Feed trough: During the feeding process, sufficient feed supply is the key to keep healthy and high-yield laying hens. Feed troughs are designed taking into account the number and frequency of feeding, ensuring that each hen receives adequate nutrition.
Nipple drinking lines: Clean drinking water is essential to the health of layer hens. The nipple drinking line is an automatic water supply system that provides a continuous supply of clean, fresh water to the layer hens to meet their daily hydration needs.
Automatic ladder feeding machine: This intelligent feeding system can automatically distribute the feed to each layer chicken cage, ensuring that each layer can get enough food, and at the same time avoiding waste.
Automatic Manure Cleaner: Maintaining a hygienic environment is the key to improving production efficiency. The automatic manure cleaner can regularly remove the manure in the cage, keep the chicken farm clean, and create a healthier growth environment.
Summary
Malamb’s poultry farm equipment solutions breathe new life into his farming projects. Through the layer cage system, he successfully expanded the size of the chickens on the limited land and achieved the breeding goal of 10,000 layer hens. This case not only provides a viable model for other farmers, but also highlights the critical role of poultry farm equipment in modern farming. Automated feeding, water supply and cleaning systems not only increase production efficiency, but also bring more sustainable possibilities to agricultural production. This innovative solution not only provides a reference for the development of rural areas, but also demonstrates the vitality of agriculture under the advancement of science and technology.
